Last updated: August 15, 2026. These Terms of Use govern your access to My Snow Gauge. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Informational estimates

My Snow Gauge provides weather estimates for general informational and educational use. Results represent a weather-data grid cell near the selected location, not a calibrated snow-depth measurement at a particular property.

Do not rely on the site for emergency decisions, winter-weather or road safety, insurance claims, legal disputes, engineering, aviation, property-damage assessments, or any purpose requiring official or certified measurements. Follow the National Weather Service and local authorities for warnings and safety guidance.

No guarantee of accuracy

Snowfall can vary over short distances and with elevation, drifting, compaction, and melting. Weather models, observation systems, geocoding results, and historical datasets can contain delays, gaps, revisions, or errors. We do not guarantee that a result is complete, current, or accurate for an exact point or that the site will meet a particular need.

No warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site operator disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. This does not limit any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party services

The site relies on services operated by others, including Open-Meteo for weather and location data, Cloudflare for hosting and security, and, when enabled, Google AdSense for advertising. Their availability and handling of information are governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party outages, content, policies, or service changes.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for ordinary personal or business lookups. You may not interfere with the site, attempt to bypass security controls, overload its providers, extract data at a rate that violates provider terms, or use the site for unlawful activity.

Advertising

Advertising helps support the free service. An advertisement does not constitute our recommendation, warranty, or endorsement of the advertiser, product, service, or claim. Your dealings with advertisers are between you and the advertiser.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and data sources without notice. We may also update these terms. The date above identifies the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Snow Gauge and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site, advertisements, third-party services, or snowfall estimates. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
